The History of 1-800-PAINT-JOB

Pizazz Painting was a vision created in 1988 after Michael McGrath saw the need for a hard working painting contractor that was willing to go the extra mile for his clients. Not one for the ordinary, Mike came up with name "Pizazz Painting" as a way of describing what his company would offer to the client.

Mike did not know it at the time, but he signed his first contract with a former sales representative for Benjamin Moore,  one of the largest paint manufacturers in the country. His knowledge of applications and products was tested throughout that process. He had pursued more knowledge of these subjects during his off time and it paid off with a glowing recommendation from the homeowner that would secure him a season full of work. Mike strives for perfection and instills the same qualities in his employees that are expected of him. He increases his knowledge of application techniques, products and finishes as they become available.

Early in 1999, Mike obtained the vanity number 1-800-PAINT-JOB to make it easier for people to refer him and easier to remember when anyone saw his trucks and vans around town.
